Entries submitted for the Crossbred Classic are in agreeance to all of the rules stated in the Open Class Handbook.
1.) Breeding stock will be assigned pens after 6 am
Saturday, August 20.
Earlier arrival is subject to room and must be approved by the Swine Barn office staff.
Must be penned and scanned by 4 pm Saturday,
August 20.
All animals will be released after sale.
All animals must be
scanned and weighed on Saturday, August 20 between 8 am and 4 pm sharp.
Due to printing
schedule, any animals scanned after that time will not be in the show
program.
2.) All animals must be weighed, scanned, and paint branded.
Classes will be split by weight.
Crossbred animals will be eligible for premiums according to the open class
schedules.
No weight limit, we do, however, suggest that they be born from December 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011.
All
animals selected for the sale by the judge and committee must be offered in the sale.
Additional non refundable sale
consignments will be accepted at a cost of $25.00 each for 10 minutes after each Champion drive.
All animals are being offered
according to the Code of Fair Practice. Any and all adjustments are a matter between buyer and seller.
Sale will start
as soon after the conclusion of the show as possible.
Entries must meet all health requirements for swine listed in the
Health Requirements and Recommendations for the Exhibition of Domestic Animals section in this Handbook plus
ALL ANIMALS MUST HAVE APPROVED INTERSTATE IDENTIFICATION (USDA/STATE APPROVED METAL OR PLASTIC TAG) in the ear.
EAR NOTCHES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE INTERSTATE ID. Animals arriving at the scales without federal ID
tags will not be weighed or entered until tags are placed in ear and tag number is on the health papers.

Certificates of veterinary inspection for all out-of-state swine and going
to the Indiana State Fair must have the import permit number for the 2011 Indiana State Fair, “INSF11”, written on the
certificate.
All Crossbred Swine must be identified by OFFICIAL Federal
Identification tags. They can be either metal or plastic. The Official Identification tag Number
must be on Certificate of Veterinary Inspection.
All swine that are to be sold at a breed sale should have a certificate of
veterinary inspection issued within 30 days prior to the sale to facilitate interstate movement after the sale.
Brucellosis Testing
Swine from Indiana do not need a brucellosis test.
Swine from outside the state do not need a brucellosis test as long as the
state of origin is classified brucellosis free by the United States Department of Agriculture. A certificate of veterinary
inspection is still required.
Pseudorabies Testing
Swine from Indiana do not need a pseudorabies test. Swine from outside the state do not need a pseudorabies test as long as the
